Dear Resident, On Sunday officers on patrol spotted a person on an off-road motorcycle riding on residential roads. The officers followed the motorcycle which resulted in the rider jumping off and running from the bike. The motorcycle was seized by the officers and recovered by our recovery agent.
On Monday our PCSOs attended a vehicle that had been reported as abandoned on a residential road in Holbrooks. The vehicle, which was not registered, had no insurance and no road tax was seized and recovered. Vehicle must have valid road tax to be parked on the public highway.
This week has been another good week for arrests. Two persons have been arrested for shoplifting offences whilst another was arrested for failure to appear to court.
Our officers were part of the patrols for the Coventry half marathon on Sunday. Although they didn’t take part in the running they were able to clock up a few steps engaging with the community.
Today (Wednesday) two stolen cars were recovered. The first was this van which was stolen at the start of April from the Allesley area. The vehicle was reported as it had been left parked up in a small residential road. PCSOs attended the vehicle which was confirmed as stolen and recovered it. ![]() The second vehicle was this people carrier which was stopped by the South North West Priority Crime Team. The occupants of the vehicles got out and made a run for it but were caught after a small foot chase and arrested. The vehicle was recovered as it had been stolen from Kenilworth. ![]()
Crime Figures There were Two reported vehicle offence in the past Nine Days on the Holbrooks Ward. These were both Theft of a Motor Vehicle offences with vehicles taken from Sunningdale Road and Rollason Road.
There were Two reported burglary offence in the past Nine Days on the Holbrooks Ward. There was a Burglary of a Residential Home on Yellowstone Close and there was an Attempted Burglary of a Residential Home that took place on Everdon Road.
